Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Tailfin and sign in.
2. Tap your avatar (top right), then Account.
3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
4. Enter your password to confirm.

Your account is deleted at once, and we send a confirmation to your email address.

Without the app

Write to [email protected] from the email address of your account and ask for it to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by email. To delete only some of your data (for example your trips), say which.

What is deleted

Everything kept for your account, immediately:

• your email address and password, and your display choices
• your trips and logbook, followed flights and aircraft, and favourites
• your notifications, signed-in devices and their push tokens
• passkeys, two-step sign-in settings and recovery codes
• the record of when you used the app

What is kept, and for how long

• Database backups: copies of the database are kept for 7 days for recovery after a fault; your data disappears from them when they are replaced.
• Flight statistics: figures such as an airline's punctuality are totals of public flight data and contain nothing about you; they stay.

You can also remove parts of your data without deleting your account: remove trips, stop following flights or aircraft, remove favourites and passkeys, or sign out a device. More in the privacy policy.
